Welcome to this life adventure called writing!
This writing journey began in October of 2024, when I begun writing the noir mystery. This process took up a lot of my time, as I couldn't stop thinking about the characters I had created. I wrote exactly what I wanted to read and I'm always on the lookout for a good noir. This novel has been with Beta Readers for a while and is in the final editing stage, pending their comments. I am very proud of it and there are a lot of plans that my teams has for that one. I'm hoping we can make a graphic novel version as well.
The second book I begun was a cyberpunk novella in Greek for a writing challenge, which got sidebared until this fall when I picked it back up with an editor, after I had finished with False Gods, and will hopefully find its way to the fans of the genre soon. It might spin a new small series, we have something special in mind.
Noir elements seem to find its way to my writing. In False Gods in Brass Cathedrals : Directive Tantalus you will notice the tropes along with action. The inspiration for this novella was Fahrenheit 451. It began with a sequence in a dream and evolved in an homage to the era and the novels that have defind it, as well as posing a problem that lies ahead for humanity. If you are a fan of Orwell and Bradburry, you'll definately appreciate it. It's not a light and easy read, despite its length. Noone of my works are light to be honest. False Gods deals with heavy topics and will speak to people who, like me, cannot be bystanders and will fight in the name of justice for the little man against corrupted power.
If there's one thing I want to stress is that all I want for these stories is for them to find their way to readers of the genre, who will appreciate the references that I had –George Orwell (1984), Isaac Asimov, Phillip K. Dick (Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheep), Ray Bradbury (Fahrenheit 451)– and then reach out to me so that we can discuss them.
Mass market is not my goal. I would love nothing more than to build a companionship of a few people who truly understand and value the same things in those classics as I do.
There are more such action stories in my head and a team of people who support this writing endeavor from the first word I type to how it should come to the world for the readers. Thank you to all of them and may the Muses be in our favor.
